New and Improved.

Welcome to the new and improved website.  I hope you like it.  This should allow me to post updates on a more regular basis.  You can still get to all of the original content I had using the Links on the right.

Let me know what you think of the new look and feel.

Thanks,
john

  1. I can't seem to get to your information on tablet weaving. I just completed my first band using your excellent instrucions! I was looking for definitions for the sizes of warp thread.
10/2 8/2 etc. I used a coarse cotton with a dull appearance that I ordered from Earth Guild. I was researching different fibers and am clueless about all those numbers.
Anyway--THANK YOU for the excellent instructions. I am enjoying my tablet weaving and hope to do more.

  2. Hi Teresa,

Thanks for the heads up on the link problem! I'll get that fixed right away! In answer to your question on the thread numbers, the first number is size, the larger the finer the thread. 3/2 is fairly think where 10/2 is fairly fine. And the sewing thread I just bought is 60/2, yikes! The second number is the number of singles plied together to make up the thread. 8/2 is a two ply thread. 8/4 carpet warp is a four ply thread. Hope that helps!
